Bayern through after remarkable comeback

Bayern München’s hopes of the treble remain alive after an incredible come-from-behind win against Juventus earned them a place in the Champions League quarterfinals. Pep Guardiola’s side were 2-0 down going into the final 20 minutes, but they were able to force extra time, before securing a 4-2 win.

FCB looked on the brink of elimination after first-half strikes from Paul Pogba and Juan Cuadrado put Juventus into a 2-0 lead. However, Robert Lewandowski’s eighth Champions League goal of the season and a last-minute Thomas Müller header took the tie into extra time. Once there, Bayern took control and wrapped up their place in the final eight courtesy of substitutes Thiago and Kingsley Coman.

The first leg in Turin also ended 2-2, curiously with Bayern having led that game 2-0. Following their spectacular comeback, the Munich club are still on course to achieve their goal of making the final in Milan on 28th May.
