For the second successive season, all four German Champions League teams have qualified for the round of 16. Bayern München and Borussia Dortmund finished top of their respective groups and will be drawn against a second-placed side from another group (from 12:00 CET). The group winners will have home advantage in the return leg.
Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke 04 will have to take on a side that topped their group, with the possibility of facing a side such as Real Madrid or FC Barcelona. They cannot draw a team from their own country. The first leg of the knockout matches will take place on 17th/18th and 24th/25th February, with the return legs scheduled for 10th/11th and 17th/18th March.
