Algarve Cup: German women book ticket for final

The German women national team is qualified for the final of the Algarve Cup just ahead of time. After the 5-0-win against Iceland on Wednesday the team of coach Silvia Neid won 1-0 against China in Albufeira and booked the ticket. Anja Mittag scored the only goal in minute 84 just before the end of the match.

Neid said: "I'm very satisfied. That was hard work today." "We wanted the win absolutely. We were all dominant, but we can grow our strength", said Mittag after the game and captain Celia Sasic added: "We're now in the final and we're looking forward to the next strong opponents."

The last match in group A is on Monday against Norway (6.30 pm/Eurosport). The final is scheduled for next Wednesday.
