Yet another withdrawal from the women’s national team Algarve Cup squad. Melanie Behringer had to pull out because of groin problems and the national coach Silvia Neid today announced that Anna Blässe from German champions VfL Wolfsburg will replace the FC Bayern München midfielder. It’s the first time the 28 year old has been called up to the national team.
Josephine Henning, Pauline Bremer and Bianca Schmidt had already withdrawn from this prestigious tournament because of injuries and were replaced by Margarita Gidion, Lena Petermann and Tabea Kemme.
