15-goal week for Man City

Pep Guardiola and Man City have romped their way to the top of the Premier League with following another goal glut. A week after the 5-0 thrashing of FC Liverpool and three days after the 4-0 win in against Feynoord in the Champions League, the side managed by the former Bayern head coach hit Watford for six away from home. Manchester United can reclaim top spot with a win against Everton and club legend Wayne Rooney tomorrow.

The irresistible Sergio Agüero scored a hat-trick, while Gabriel Jesus, Nicolas Otamendi and Raheem Sterling completed the rout for the Manchester club. Meanwhile, Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw away at Burnley. Germany international Emre Can assisted Mohamed Salah’s first-half equaliser.

Ter Stegen and Barca comeback to win

FC Barcelona left it late to continue their 100% winning start in the league. In Marc-André ter Stegen’s 100th game for Barca, Lionel Messi & Co. came from behind to win 2-1 against recently-promoted Getafe. Gaku Shibasaki had given the hosts the lead in the 40th minute, before Denis Suarez (62’) and Paulinho (85’) turned the game in favour of the Catalan side.

Ousmane Dembélé was forced off with a thigh injury in the 27th minute.
