Zieler: "There is a lack of confidence"

Thomas Müller: You could see in the first half that the game was played in the middle of the pitch but I’m not happy with the fact that we didn’t have many shots. However, I didn’t start the game, so I don’t want to say too much. In the first half, we didn’t manage to play our game, however, that was also because Leverkusen forced their style of play on the game. In the second half, we still needed to take one or other of our chances, as we couldn’t quite get over the line.

Hannover 96 0-1 Mainz

Ron-Robert Zieler: Clearly we are disappointed. Today was a game that we feel we should have won. We as a team are the only people that can turn things around. Of course, after a defeat it is difficult to be hopeful. Nevertheless, we still have 14 games to go and we must try to pick up the necessary points. You can see that there is a lack of confidence in the team, you can’t blame individuals. We are doing all we can and leaving everything out there on the pitch. It won’t be any easier next week in Dortmund.

Schalke 04 3-0 VfL Wolfsburg

Julian Draxler: It was mostly a game to forget. The worst part is that we have lost a very important game three-nil. We’re finding it difficult in a lot of areas at the moment and Schalke really took advantage of that. We don’t need to come up with excuses, we need to give more.

Johannes Geis: Obviously I’m happy to have scored. It felt good to finally see one of my free kicks go straight in. We deserved the three points. This was a game of huge importance, we all knew that, and we played like it as well. For me personally, it’s a bonus to have contributed with a goal. We all know that it’s not perfect yet, and that we’ve got a long way ahead of us. But at the moment it’s clear to see that we’re going for it with passion and desire. Everyone is up for it. It has to carry on like this. We want more.

Hertha BSC 0-0 Borussia Dortmund

Julian Weigl: It was a difficult game for us. In the first half, we didn’t really get in behind them as we wanted to. Hertha were very alert, strong and defended well but also played fearlessly. In the second half, we tried everything we could to try and create chances, but we couldn’t find the end product. We can live with the 0-0 draw, even though I'm not especially pleased with the result.

Marcel Schmelzer: In the end we’ll have to be happy with a point. It wasn’t our best game. Everyone saw that Hertha belong in third place in the league, they defended really well in an intense game. Maybe we made it too easy for them because we were not good enough physically.

Matthias Ginter: It wasn’t our best match. But when you can’t win, a draw is the minimum you need to get out of it.

Mats Hummels: In light of how the match went, the result is reasonable, because we didn’t produce a top performance. We cannot demand top performances over 17 matches though.

Bayer Leverkusen 0-0 Bayern München

Christoph Kramer: A draw was the right result. We could have got a goal with a bit more luck, Bayern could of as well. We wanted to play our style of football, it’s good to see that if we play fearlessly it can work against Bayern. In patches you could see we were playing good football.

Holger Badstuber: It wasn't easy. It was an intense and aggressive match. There were many fouls, many interruptions. But overall we had the better chances. If we’d made better use of them we'd have left the pitch as winners. We could have taken three big points here.
