World rankings: World Cup winners stay second – Belgium on top for the first time

Die Mannschaft have defended second place in the November edition of the Coca-Cola FIFA World Rankings. The Belgium national side are the new leaders in the rankings, sitting in first place for the first time in their history. Chile are the big climbers in the top ten, rising four places to fifth, whilst both England and Austria, in ninth and tenth place respectively, have each risen one place. Both Chile and Austria have achieved the highest rankings in their respective histories.

172 international matches were taken into account for November's rankings, along with 840 games throughout the course of 2015. Particular attention is given to qualifiers for EURO 2016 (50 games) and the 2018 World Cup (66 games).

The next edition of the FIFA World Rankings will be published on 3rd December.
