World Cup winner Müller reaches 100 Bundesliga goals

Thomas Müller became the fifth FC Bayern München player to reach 100 goals in the Bundesliga. The 28-year-old scored a brace in the 4-2 win against Werder Bremen to notch his 99th and 100th goals for the record champions.

"I wasn’t aware of it today. But of course I knew that it was close. It’s obviously pretty cool, but it’s nothing special. I’m only 28, I’m in my best years, so I would have hoped to reach it eventually," said Müller after the game.

Only Gerd Müller (365), Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (162), Roland Wohlfarth (119) and Dieter Hoeneß (102) have reached this milestone before. Following his two goals, Robert Lewandowski is currently on 94 Bundesliga goals for FC Bayern, while Arjen Robben (93) also has the chance to reach 100 this season.
