World Champions stay fourth in FIFA world rankings

The Germany national team remain fourth in the FIFA world rankings. Despite several major tournaments this summer, there were no changes to the top five. World Cup runners-up Argentina stay top, followed by Belgium, Colombia, World Champions Germany and Copa América champions Chile.

Climbing to sixth are newly crowned European champions Portugal, ahead of fellow finalists France. EURO 2016 surprise packages Iceland and Wales also moved up the rankings. Quarterfinalists Iceland are up 12 places to 22nd, while semi-finalists Wales have gone from 26th to eleventh. The biggest climb was made by OFC Nations Cup champions New Zealand, who jumped 54 places to 93rd.

A total of 228 countries make up the world rankings, with the next edition set to be released on 11th August 2016.
