World Champions remain top of World Rankings

Germany are the measure of all things in world football. In the FIFA World Rankings for November, that were released today, the World Champions remain in first place on 1725 points and have increased their lead over World Cup runners-up Argentina (1538) thanks to the 1-0 win away at European Champions Spain. Columbia are still third on 1450 points.

There are still some big nations in the top ten: France remain in seventh but share the place alongside Portugal, who have climbed two places. Countries that have seen a big move up the rankings are England (20th to 13th), Romania (21st to 15th) and the Czech Republic (22nd to 17th.) But the biggest movers were the Faroe Islands, who jumped from 187th to 105th thanks to their surprise 1-0 win against Greece in the European Championship qualifiers.
