World Champion Zieler confirms move to Leicester City

The transfer of Ron-Robert Zieler from recently relegated Hannover 96 to English Champions Leicester City has been confirmed. Leicester officially announced on Friday that the Reds’ long serving goalkeeper has signed a four year deal with the Foxes, which will run until 30th June 2020.

“We would like to thank Ron for his outstanding performances over the last few years. We wish him all the best for his new challenge at Leicester City,” said the 96ers’ director of sport Martin Bader, he continued: “We will give Ron the chance to say farewell to the fans properly just like he deserves in a match if the schedule permits it.”

Zieler, who missed out on Joachim Löw’s squad for the European Championship finals, played 185 Bundesliga matches for Hannover between 2010 and 2016.
