World Champion Laudehr returns to Bayern

World Cup winner Simone Laudehr is switching from Champions League semi-finalists 1. FFC Frankfurt to German champions Bayern München. The 29-year-old has signed a deal until 2019 at the club where she played in 2003/04.

"We’re very happy to sign an experienced player like Simone, who will help us achieve our goals,” told the Bayern coach Karin Danner.

For Laudehr there is the sense that her career has come full circle when she returns to Munich. After leaving Bayern, the attacker celebrated numerous domestic and European successes at FCR 2001 Duisburg (2004-2012) and Frankfurt (2012-2016), including the Champions League (2015) and UEFA Cup (2009).
