Maximilian Arnold has withdrawn from the U21 squad for the games against Italy on Friday (20:00 CET) and England on Monday, 30th March (20:45 CEST) in Middlesbrough. The 20-year-old is suffering with a back problem.
Germany manager Horst Hrubesch hasn’t drafted in a replacement. There are now 24 players in the squad for the matches against Italy and England. Both games are friendlies in preparation for the U21 European Championship this summer.
The Euros will take place in the Czech Republic from the 17th – 30th June. The U21 team will face Serbia on the 17th June (20:45 CEST), come up against Denmark on the 20th June (20:45 CEST) and then play the hosts on the 23rd June (20:45) in their last group game. All three games will take place in the capital city, Prague.
