Goalkeeper Odisseas Vlachodimos, of Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart, will not join up with the Germany U21 national side for their upcoming games against Denmark and Azerbaijan. The keeper will remain with his club side due to the current situation at Stuttgart, it was decided after an agreement was reached between U21 head coach Horst Hrubesch and Stuttgart manager Alexander Zorniger.
Vlachodimos, who had been called up to the U21s for the first time, will be replaced in the squad by the returning Jannik Huth of FSV Mainz 05.
