The Project European Championships started with a win for Germany's Under 21 National Team. At Faroe Islands the team of coach Horst Hrubesch celebrated a 3-0 (1-0) victory, which could have been higher.
Moritz Leitner opened the score after seven minutes, with Jonas Hofmann (52) and Leonardo Bittencourt (80) adding two more goals.
Hrubesch was critical despite three points: "We should have scored more goals, that's what we will work on in the days to come".
