U19 Euros: Germany open against Italy

A cracking match to kick things off! The 2016 European Under-19 Championship gets underway in 84 days in Baden-Württemberg. UEFA have now confirmed all the fixtures, with hosts Germany facing Italy in the tournament opener in Group A on 11th July (12:00 CEST) at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Stuttgart. On Thursday 14th July (19:30 CEST), Guido Streichsbier face Portugal in Großaspach, and the final group stage match takes place on Sunday 17th July (19:30 CEST) against Austria in Reutlingen.

"It’s a tough group, but we accept the challenge,” said Streichsbier. “There’s no team that we wanted to face in particular, but we just wanted to measure ourselves against the best European U19 teams.”
