U19 beat Bulgaria 3-0

The Germany U19 national team overcame Bulgaria 3-0 at the European Championship in Georgia to bounce back after their 4-1 loss to the Netherlands three days ago. The result means the team is still in with a chance of making it through to the final. Etienne Amenyido and Gökhan Gül gave the Germans an early two-goal lead after Bulgaria’s Andrea Hristov had seen red for his foul on Amenyido which led to the second goal from the penalty spot.

And it was Amenyido again who managed to win a second penalty for DFB after the break, which Sidney Friede made no mistake in converting.

Germany now sit in second place in group B with three points behind England on six and joint with the Netherlands also on three. The Young Lions are the Germans’ final opponents this coming Sunday and DFB will be looking to take all three points.
