The German U 21-National team reached the Play-offs for the European Championship 2007 in the Netherlands. The team beat Romania in Wilhelmshaven on Tuesday 5-1 (3-0). Mario Gomez (10th), Patrick Helmes (19th/39th), Gonzalo Castro (77th) and Aaron Hunt (86th) scored for the Germans. Stefan Radu (74th) marked the goal for Romania.
