U 21: Germany win 3-0 against Northern Ireland

The new formed German Under 21 National Team celebrated a victory at the end of the qualification run to the EURO 2011. The team of DFB-coach Rainer Adrion won 3-0 (1-0) against Northern Ireland in Ingolstadt.

After the 1:4 defeat against Iceland in August, which had cost the last chance for reaching the European Championship tickets, Adrion built up a new team. After the creditable 1-1 in the Czech Republic last Friday, the U-21 acted again with good combinations.

Three minutes before half-time Lewis Holtby scored from 22 meters the leading (42). In the second half the DFB-Youngster were more powerful. Holtby sored the second goal (60.). Patrick Herrmann scored the third goal of the game (67.).
