Trapp heading from Frankfurt to Paris

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT: It’s finally official! Kevin Trapp has departed Eintracht Frankfurt and has signed for Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint Germain. The 24-year-old signed a contract until summer 2020. The transfer was announced on Wednesday afternoon. Trapp is the second German player to play for the capital club after Christian Wörns played for PSG for one season from 1998-1999.

The former Germany youth international will join up with his teammates at their training camp in Austria. Coach Lauren Blanc played a huge part in securing his services. The former World Champion said on Wednesday that the former Eintracht player will be his number one between the sticks.

Italy international keeper Salvatore Sirigu has been PSG’s no.1 until now. He is currently on holiday until 15th July and will not participate in the pre-season camp in Austria. Blanc will start Trapp in net on 1st August in the French Supercup. The match will take place against Olympique Lyon in Montreal, Canada.
