Trapp and Paris claim next win

Germany international Kevin Trapp and Paris Saint-Germain continue to be unstoppable in Ligue 1. Against the relegation-threatened Stade Reims, the runaway league leaders recorded a comfortable 4-1 win and extended their advantage at the top of the table over second-placed Monaco to 27 points.

Kevin Trapp conceded PSG's 13th goal of the entire league campaign as Prince Oniangue brought the scores level at 1-1 on 34 minutes. In the end it had little significance for Paris, who scored three further goals of their own.

PSG remain the only unbeaten side in the entire league, with Saturday's win their 23rd from 27 games.

Cup replay required for Arsenal

Championship table-toppers Hull City forced Premier League side Arsenal to a fifth round FA Cup replay on Saturday afternoon, earning a 0-0 draw in London. The Gunners opted to rest several regulars, including World Champion Mesut Özil. Per Mertesacker played the full 90 minutes for the hosts.

Arsenal are still capable of an historic feat, aiming for a third straight FA Cup triumph, which no team has managed in the world’s oldest cup competition since Blackburn Rovers (1884-1886). The Gunners must now travel to Hull for the replay as they look to keep their chances alive.

Barca march on

Without Germany international Marc-André ter Stegen, FC Barcelona consolidated their position at the top of La Liga. On matchday 25, the Catalonians celebrated their 20th win of the season with a 2-1 win away to UD Las Palmas, giving them a nine-point cushion over second-placed Atlético Madrid, who sit on 54 points.

Luis Suarez and Neymar scored both of Barcelona's goals before the break, either side of José Da Silva's tenth-minute equaliser.
