Title contenders Hertha Berlin drew 1-1 against hosts Hamburg SV on Sunday, to drop to third place, four points behind leaders VfL Wolfsburg with four matches left. Hamburg remain in fifth place on 55 points, level with VfB Stuttgart who drew 2-2 in Arminia Bielefeld and have a better goal difference.

After Jurgen Klinsmann was sacked as head coach by Bayern last Monday, caretaker coach Jupp Heynckes began his five games in charge, while a successor is found, with a 2-1 win at home to Borussia Mönchengladbach.
