The teams bidding to book their place in Germany

Who will take part in the U19 European Championships in Germany? The seven second round qualification groups were drawn in Nyon this Thursday, and the winners of said groups, along with the hosts, will take part in the tournament from the 11th to the 24th July 2016 in southern Germany.

Defending champions Spain will face England, Greece and Georgia in Group 1. France are in Group 7 and will play Serbia, Montenegro and Denmark.

The Groups

Group 1: Spain, England, Greece, Georgia
Group 2: Switzerland, Israel, Turkey, Italy
Group 3: Czech Republic, Austria, Romania, Slovakia
Group 4: The Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine, Northern Ireland
Group 5: Belgium, Croatia, Scotland, Bulgaria
Group 6: Portugal, Slovenia, Sweden, Russia
Group 7: France, Serbia, Montenegro, Denmark

EURO qualification 2017: Germany face Ireland, Albania and Gibraltar

Furthermore, the groups for the first round of qualifying for EURO 2017 in Georgia have also been drawn. Germany U19s will face the Republic of Ireland, Albania and Gibraltar in the autumn of 2016. Venues and times have yet to be finalised.

The two group winners, and the best third-place finisher from the 13 groups will proceed to the second round of qualification.
