VFB STUTTGART: Stuttgart have reacted to their recent drop in form and terminated the contract of manager Alexander Zorniger. This was revealed by VfB on Tuesday afternoon. U23 coach Jürgen Kramny (44) has become the interim manager, and will prepare the side for their match against Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.
48-year-old Zorniger has been in charge of the first team since the start of the season, but lost the derby against FC Augsburg 4-0 at home last Saturday.
"We were particularly concerned by the nature of our defeat on Saturday. We anaylsed the situation in terms of the coaching staff, and made our decision this morning," said club president Bernd Wahler. Along with Zorniger, André Trulsen, Armin Reutershahn and goalkeeping coach Andreas Menger have been released with immediate effect.
