Stunning performance by Lukas Podolski in season finale

World champion Lukas Podolski scored one goal and provided three assists as Galatasaray stormed to a 6-0 victory on the final matchday in the Turkish Süper Lig.

Podolski, who was included in Germany manager Joachim Löw’s provisional squad for EURO 2016 in France (10th June – 10th July), opened the scoring in the eleventh minute. Former Stuttgart player Sinan Gümüs (26', 45', 69') grabbed a hat-trick, while Bilal Kisa (58') and Selcuk Inan (62') also both got on the score sheet. Podolski set up the third, fourth and sixth goals.

The national team are holding their training camp from next Tuesday (24th May) until the 3rd June. As part of the training camp, Die Mannschaft face Slovakia on 29th May (17:45 CEST) in Augsburg, two days before Löw is required to submit his final 23-man squad to UEFA 31st May. The training camp ends on 4th June (18:00 CEST) against Hungary in Gelsenkirchen. Germany’s first group game at the tournament is against Ukraine on 12th June (21:00 CEST) in Lille.
