After two draws in a row FC St. Pauli celebrated a 1-0 victory against Karlsruher SC as round 25 of German Second Bundesliga was completed on Sunday. Moritz Volz scored the game winning goal for St. Pauli who are on fourth place now.

Eintracht Frankfurt beat Hansa Rostock 5-1 (2-0) and climbed to second place on Sunday. Energie Cottbus and Eintracht Braunschweig tied 1-1 (0-1) , Dresden and Ingolstadt played 0-0.

League leading SpVgg Greuther Fürth beat Alemannia Aachen 1-0 (1-0) to defend the lead on Saturday, while rivals SC Paderborn are held to a 0-0 by VfL Bochum and are now three points behind the top.

On Saturday two rising aspirants intervened into the matchday: 1860 München lose at FSV Frankfurt 1-3 (1-2) and Fortuna Düsseldorf beat Erzgebirge Aue 3-1 (1-1).
