This was confirmed by Manchester City on Monday evening. “Sané has since undergone scans that confirm the 22-year-old is set for a spell on the sidelines - although no timeline has yet been set for his return,” shared the Manchester club on their website.
Leroy himself had the following to say on Twitter: “I suffered ankle ligament damage, but I think it isn't as bad as it looked. My rehab will start soon and I'm motivated to be back on the pitch as soon as possible!”
