Socceroos squad to face Germany announced: Langerak and Leckie included

Asian Cup Champions Australia have named Borussia Dortmund’s Mitch Langerak and FC Ingolstadt’s Matthew Leckie in their squad for the friendly against Germany in Kaiserlautern on the 25th March (20.30 CET). There’s no place in Ange Postecoglou’s squad for Ben Halloran (Fortuna Düsseldorf), while Robbie Kruse (Bayer Leverkusen) misses out through injury.

Postecoglou has kept faith in the players who triumphed in the Asian Cup in naming his squad for the friendlies against Germany and Macedonia. However, he has drafted in three uncapped players. Lazio youth player Chris Ikonomidis, Brisbane Roar defender Luke DeVere and Adelaide United defender Tarek Elrich are all hoping to make their debuts.
