Six goals but no winner in Kaiserslautern

In their first match after their relegation from the Bundesliga, 1. FC Kaiserslautern missed out on a perfect start, ending their meeting with Union Berlin in a 3-3 (0-0)-tie. After being two goals down, the "red devils" turned things around, taking the lead with four minutes remaining. In the final minute, Union equalized and spoiled the coaching debut from Franco Foda.

Hertha BSC Berlin, FC Ingolstadt and Erzgebirge Aue only manage draws in their first home matches on the start of the 39th season of the Second Bundesliga on Friday. Hertha came back twice in their 2-2 (0-1) aygainst SC Paderborn, Ingolstadt drew 2-2 (2-0) against Energie Cottbus and FC St. Pauli goalless in Aue.
