Six Germany Internationals nominated for Europe's Footballer of the Year

Six Germany Internationals have the chance to win UEFA Best Women’s Player in Europe Award. Keeper Nadine Angerer (Portland Thorns/USA), Simone Laudehr and Dzsenifer Marozan from Champions League winner 1 FFC Frankfurt as well as Alexandra Popp (VfL Wolfsburg), Anja Mittag (Paris Saint Germain/France) and Celia Sasic (last at 1. FFC Frankfurt) are six of the twelve candidates competing for the prize.

In the second voting phase on 12th August 18 journalists from European Sports Media (ESM) will pick three players for the final round of voting. The jury will pick a winner on 28th August in Monaco. Last year Nadine Keßler from VfL Wolfsburg won the award.
