Second match, second draw in the U.S.

Dzsenifer Marozsan scored twice to secure the German Women's National Team a deserved 2-2 (0-1) in their second duel against Olympic Champions USA in East Hartford. In their first match on Sunday both teams already had drawn 1-1.

Marozsan came in as a sustitute at the start of the second half just to level the first U.S. lead in the 48th and also the second setback in the 85th minute. Abby Wambach (44th) and Tobin Heath (67th) had brought the hosts ahead twice in the rain-soaked Rentschler Field.

"I am totally happy with our match", German coach Silvia Neid said afterwards, "Especially after the break we were dominant and combined well. We were the equal of the USA in both games".
