The midfielder has been suffering from patellar tendonitis in his left knee and hasn’t played a competitive game so far this season.
Schweinsteiger’s last competitive appearance was in the 2014 FIFA World Cup Final against Argentina in Rio de Janerio in the Maracana Stadium on 13th July. Pep Guardiola has said that there is no set time for his return to the matchday squad.
