RENDEZ-VOUS Which team do you want to meet over the course of the tournament?
I would like to play against Spain. Our last tournament games with them were always a negative experience. Therefore I would be thrilled to get the chance to show everyone that we can beat Spain.
DÉJA-VU Do you remember your first visit to France?
I came here on vacation with my family a few times in the past. We went to Corsica for example. But unfortunately I can't really remember the first time.
RIEN NE VA PLUS What do you do in the final minutes and seconds before the game begins?
I don't have a specific ritual. I just try to stay focussed, in order to be in the game right from the start.
AU REVOIR How difficult is it to say goodbye to your family and friends before tournaments?

It's not easy. I like having my family and my fiancé around me. But saying farewell becomes a bit easier when you're leaving for a European Championship. We know why we are here. The anticipation for the tournament and the games makes up for quite a bit.
OH LÀ LÀ Which EURO 2016 teams play particularly good football? Apart from Germany obviously...
France are definitely up there and England as well, as we saw in Berlin ourselves. Belgium has to be named, as they play attractive and efficient football.
CHAPEAU Which of your teammates have impressed you at the training camp in Ascona and here in Évian?
Julian Weigl - although all our younger players have done a very good job - but he is very confident, incredibly calm and assured. It's quite impressive, especially since he's with us for the first time.
HOMAGE Which French players have you always admired?
Zidane. For me, he is the greatest footballer of all time.
CRÈME DE LA CRÈME Who do you consider favourites to win the European Championship? Apart from Germany obviously...
I've already mentioned France, Belgium and England but Spain also belong to that list. They failed to convince at the World Cup, but it would be completely wrong to assume that their time has come to an end.
