André Schürrle: We played exceptionally well and should really have scored more goals. Today you saw what we’re capable of if we settle down well and have that level of security on the ball. The whole team played their part. When I read the things written about me, then it seems as though everything is going well. It is both a relief and satisfying that I have been able to show that I still have the quality. Lots of people weren’t overly pleased with my performances, and it did the manager good as well that I was able to score the goals today.
Ron-Robert Zieler: We didn’t perform very well in the second half. We didn’t have any courage and didn’t commit to the tackles. Wolfsburg have a very good team and were clinical in front of goal. We have to brush ourselves down and apologise to our fans - not acceptable.
Borussia Mönchengladbach 4-0 VfB Stuttgart
Patrick Herrmann: It was a lovely moment for me, scoring after being out for five months. I made the run, received the ball from Mo and fired into the far corner, just as I'd planned. I'd almost forgotten what it's like to score for Borussia, but I've got that back again. Attack is the best form of defence and we did that very well today. The three points were hugely important.
Darmstadt 98 0-2 Borussia Dortmund
Erik Durm: We didn’t struggle with the pitch conditions or atmosphere at any point in the 90 minutes. We deserved to win if you look at the chances, and were able to put Darmstadt under pressure in their own half. They had to play with six at the back, but weren’t able to counter as they may have hoped.
Mats Hummels: We knew what to expect, but despite that it’s never easy playing against this form of kick-and-rush system. It was a difficult pitch to play on, and the wind meant the conditions weren’t easy. We fought hard, and wanted to make Saturday that little bit more interesting. It will be a tough match, that’s for sure.
Bayern München 1-2 Mainz 05
Manuel Neuer: After our equalising goal you sensed we would score again. We weren’t able to get that crucial goal, instead Mainz did - very disappointing for us.
1899 Hoffenheim 2-1 FC Augsburg
Kevin Volland: This second home win in a row will do us good. We are on the right track and won’t let up. In the games before I had chances as well and now one has finally gone in. It’s a fact, that it’s important that as a striker I score goals . This game was fun. We created a lot of chances as a team and all gave 100 percent – that is the most important thing.
