Schalke miss the lead with draw in Hamburg

Schalke 04 drew 2-2 at Hamburger SV on Sunday and gave away their chance to take over the lead. Bottom of the table Hertha BSC Berlin celebrated an overwhelming 5-1 victory at reigning champions VfL Wolfsburg to keep their hopes alive to avoid relegation.

Eintracht Frankfurt stunned Bayern Munich with two late goals to beat the Bundesliga leaders 2-1 on Saturday and leave the top spot up for grabs on round 27 of the Bundesliga. Bayer Leverkusen missed the opportunity to take the lead by losing 0-3 at Dortmund.

On Friday archrivals 1. FC Köln and Borussia Mönchengladbach tied 1-1. After Marco Reus (56.) scored for the guests, Maniche (79.) saved one point for Köln.
