Celia Sasic received further honours during the opening ceremony of the Allianz Women's Bundesliga after having already been crowned European Player of Year on Thursday in Monaco. Prior to the match between 1. FFC Frankfurt and SGS, the two-time European Champion received the Golden Boot trophy as well as being crowned as Germany's Player of the Year by sports magazine kicker.
The honours were presented by DFB Vice-President Hannelore Ratzeburg and kicker's chief editor Rainer Franzke. Afterwards Sasic received her official farewell wishes from FFC chairman Bodo Adler and FFC sporting director Siegfried Dietrich.
Sasic won the Player of the Year award in 2012 and in the 2013/14 season the 111-time Germany international won her first Bundesliga Golden Boot award.
