Sané scores in City away win

On the 27th matchday of the Premier League, Manchester City claimed their fourth consecutive victory and defended third place in the table. Pep Guardiola’s side overcame Sunderland 2-0 at the Stadium of Light, with young Die Mannschaft attacker Leroy Sané getting on the scoresheet.

The Citizens remain one point behind second-placed Tottenham Hotspur (56 points). Sané scored City’s second (59’), after Sergio Agüero gave the visitors the lead shortly before half time(42’).

Khedira's Juve draw in Udine

After seven consecutive wins, reigning Serie A champions Juventus and World Champion Sami Khedira have to be satisfied with just a point against Udinese. The Bianconeri still have their 33rd Scudetto in their sights, but today could only manage a 1-1 draw away from home. The Germany midfielder played the full 90 minutes as the points were shared at the Fruili, and despite not getting the result they would have wanted, Max Allegri's men still boast an eight-point advantage over second-placed AS Roma.

Juve went behind in the 37th minute, after Duvan Zapata powered past Leonardo Bonucci and slid the ball under Gianluigi Buffon. The visitors hit back after an hour, as Bonucci headed in a Miralem Pjanic free kick, making up for letting Zapata run past him for Udinese’s opener.
