Sané and Man City book place in FA Cup semi-final

Manchester City are one step closer to winning the FA Cup for the sixth time in the clubs’ history. With Germany international Leroy Sané in the starting XI, the Citizens secured a comfortable 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough in the quarterfinals to secure their place in the last four and a trip to Wembley.

Pep Guardiola’s side took the lead through David Silva after three minutes and Sergio Agüero added a second midway through the second half after a fine low cross from Sané. Sané was brought off shortly afterwards and watched his side for the remainder of the match comfortably see out the 2-0 victory.

Arsenal's goalscorers included Theo Walcott (45'), Olivier Giroud (53'), Alexis Sanchez (73') and Aaron Ramsey (75'), and were also helped through an own goal from Lincoln City's Luke Waterfall (59'). Shkodran Mustafi started for the Gunners, and Mesut Özil was substituted in for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the 27th minute.
