Juventus keep up their pursuit of Seria A leaders, Napoli. The Italian record champions, with Sami Khedira in their starting XI, beat SPAL 4-1 to remain in third place on 25 points, behind Napoli (28) and Inter Milan (26).
Federico Bernardeschi and Paulo Dybala put the hosts 2-0 up in the first half an hour, before Alberto Paloschi pulled one back in the 34th minute. However, the win was sealed in the second half, as Juventus pulled away with goals from Gonzalo Higuain and Juan Cuadrado. Napoli and Inter both won 3-2.
