Reus returns to BVB training

Marco Reus’ long injury lay-off has reached its end. Borussia Dortmund’s 28-year-old international player took part in the reigning DFB-Pokal champions’ training this morning for the first time in almost eight months since he picked up his injury.

Reus incurred a ruptured cruciate ligament during the team’s 2-1 triumph over Eintracht Frankfurt in the DFB-Pokal final in Berlin. He has stated on several occasions that his aim is to be selected for the World Cup in Russia, which will take place from 14th June until 15th July. The forward was injured for both the 2014 World Cup win in Brazil and the 2016 Euros in France.
