Reus and Durm back in training

Borussia Dortmund: As training gets back under way ahead of the start of the second half of the season, Germany international Marco Reus (hamstring) and World Champion Erik Durm (knee) have both returned from injury. Nuri Sahin also took part in training, but Sven Bender, Marcel Schmelzer and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were all absent. The striker from Gabon was missing in the morning because of a personal appointment. Germany youth international, and winner of the Fritz Walter Medal in 2015, Felix Passlack and Christian Pulisic (both 17) will both travel with the squad to the training camp in Dubai on Thursday. They will train with the first team in the future.

HAMBURGER SV: 18-year-old Dren Feka has signed a professional contract until 2018. The U19 international, who has only appeared in the Regionalliga Nord so far this season, will, alongside teammate Kerim Carolus (21), travel to the training camp in Belek (until 16th January) with Bruno Labbadia’s team. Marcelo Diaz will be missing from the trip as he continues his recovery from a tear in his muscle tendon back home in Hamburg.

1. FC KÖLN: The side from Cologne has signed Serbian international Filip Mladenovic from Belorussian champions BATE Borisov. The 24-year-old left back has signed until June 2019 and will be back up to Germany international Jonas Hector (25), but he can also play left wing if needed. “Filip Mladenovic really adds to our squad. He is an experienced international and a strong-running left back,” says Köln’s athletic director Jörg Schmadtke.
