Reus after knee operation: “Long rehab ahead of me”

Germany international Marco Reus had his cruciate ligament in his right knee operated on last Wednesday and is now recovering. “Operation went well,” the Dortmund winger tweeted on Saturday evening from his hospital bed.

He wrote on Facebook: “I’m already getting better. Now, it will be a long phase of rehab that I will be giving my all in! I will do everything I can to get back on the pitch as soon as possible. I have always come back strongly and I will do so again this time.”

Reus suffered a partial tear in his cruciate ligament in the DFB Pokal final against Eintracht Frankfurt two weeks ago. He is set to be on the sidelines for six months.
