Record goalscorer: Richter strikes seven

Not all of the 320 spectators in the vintage Rosenaustadion were enjoying themselves as the reserve side of FC Augsburg secured a record 12-0 victory. The man in charge of the scoreboard had a problem after the first 10 goals, as he didn't have any double digit cards to display the result. He quickly found a solution though and created his own hand-written ones.

Augsburg's 12-0 victory over newly promoted side SV Seligenporten was the highest recorded result in Bavaria's regional league and another record was set during the game: 18-year-old striker Marco Richter provided seven of the 12 goals and will have increased his chances of signing a professional contract soon.Bottom-side Seligenporten were unable to find a way to stop Richter, who ran rampage in the first half in particular, scoring five goals within 17 minutes. Robert Lewandowski had struck five inside nine minutes against VfL Wolfsburg last season, but the FC Bayern München striker stopped there. Richter added two more goals after the break.
