Record crowd expected for Germany's trip to Wembley

More than 33,000 tickets have already been sold for the historic women’s match between Germany and England at Wembley Stadium on 23rd November.

The match will have the biggest crowd for an England Women’s international to date, surpassing the previous record of 29,092 which was recorded when England played Finland at the Etihad Stadium in 2005, as part of the European Championships.

The match will also be a key part of both teams’ preparations for next summer’s FIFA Women’s World Cup in Canada.

Tickets are still on sale priced £15 for adults and £1 for children and are available via www.thefa.com/tickets or by calling 0844 826 2010.

England head coach Mark Sampson said: “This is a magnificent start to ticket sales and shows just what fantastic support there is out there for this team and for women’s football. We know it will be a great occasion, not just playing at Wembley but playing a team of Germany’s quality. These are exactly the sort of matches we want to be playing in preparation for next summer’s World Cup, against the best teams in the world."
