Pollersbeck is Germany's U21 Euros "Player of the Tournament"

Julian Pollersbeck has been chosen as Germany’s Under-21 European Championship “Player of the tournament.” The goalkeeper was instrumental in helping his country lift the trophy for the first time since 2009. The new Hamburger SV shot stopper received the largest percentage of the votes, beating “The U21 squad”, and captain Maxi Arnold into first place.

22-year-old Pollersbeck twice won the “Man of the Match” award during the competition in Poland - for his performance in the 1-0 defeat to Italy and his penalty-saving heroics in the semi-final win over England, in which he saved two spot kicks.

Pollersbeck received 28.1% of the votes, ahead of the “U21 squad” with 23.6% and Arnold with 22.9%.
