World Champion Lukas Podolski marked his final game with Galatasaray SK with a win. The Turkish record champions were victorious on their season’s final matchday, beating Konyaspor 2-1 to confirm their fourth-place finish to end the season. Podolski was subbed off in the 67th minute with the scores level at 1-1.
”I would like to thank the fans for the love and support they have shown me from my very first day here,” said the 31-year old. “I will be coming back here on holiday after I have gone to Japan!”
Podolski leaves Galatasaray after two years with the club. He will be plying his trade for Japanese side Vissel Kobe from the start of next season.
