Podolski overtakes Klinsmann and Völler

Lukas Podolski scored his 48th international goal during the 2-2 draw with Australia and has moved up to fourth place on the list of Germany’s all-time top goal scorers. The 2014 World Champion has overtaken 1990 World Champions Jürgen Klinsmann and Rudi Völler.

Miroslav Klose, who retired after Germany’s World Cup triumph in 2014, currently tops the standings with 71 goals. Gerd Müller is in second with 68 goals and former East Germany player Joachim Streich sits in third place with 55 goals.
