Perfect start to the season for the U15 team

Full speed ahead into the new season. The U15 junior girls team won their second meeting in the international match against Scotland. On the artificial pitch in Toryglen Regional Football Centre in Glasgow, Bettina Wiegmann’s team won 8-0 after beating the same team 13-0 on Tuesday.

“The Scots looked better compared to in the first match,” said Wiegmann after the match and also praised her team, “We were the dominant team in both matches and deserved to win.”

The Germany junior team had the match completely under control, didn’t let anything go in defence and were confident in front of goal. Etonam Nicole Anyomi (SGS Essen), Maren Marie Tellenbröker (SC Verl) and Sydney Lohmann (SC Fürstenfeldbruck) scored the goals in the first-half. Lohmann, Anna-lena Stolze (ATSV Stockelsdorf, her sixth and seventh in three U15 matches), Pauline Wimmer (Viktoria 1889 Berlin) and Lena Sophie Oberdorf (TSG Sprockhövel) all scored in the second-half.

Bettina Wiegmann called-up 20 players for the first national team matches of the new season with nine reserves. Only Noemi Gentile (FSV Waiblingen), Lisa Schöppl (Jahn Regensburg), Anna-Lena Stolze and Klara Bühl (SC Freiburg) had previously made appearances for the national team.

After the national matches, Wiegmann will be talent scouting at the sports school Hennef from 5th to 7th November, before another training course from 30th November to 4th December with a match against Belgium scheduled on 3rd December in Wegberg.
