Pauline Bremer wins French Championship title

DFB-women’s striker Pauline Bremer has won the French Championship with Olympique Lyon with one game of the season to spare.

In the 5-1 away win against ASJ Soyaux-Charente, Bremer scored her team’s third goal in the 81st minute. Norway’s Ada Hegerberg continued her top form and bagged a hat-trick, with Amandine Henry adding the fifth. Justine Deschamps scored the intermittent equaliser for the hosts.

Due to the head-to-head rule coming into place in the case of teams being tied level on both points and goal difference, Lyon (80 points) can no longer be caught by Paris (77). Paris lost the league game in Lyon 5-0, and drew the return fixture 0-0.
