Our new kit for EURO 2016

Lukas Podolski, Emre Can, Jonas Hector and rapper Cro introduced the new kit tonight in Berlin for the European Championships in 2016. The World Cup winners' kit was revealed at a rap concert to 700 fans at Football BASE, where DFB distributors adidas are based in the city.

Die Mannschaft will hoping to win the competition for the fourth time while sporting a classic white and black kit. The mainly white top and the black shorts an shorts will be a timeless kit that all generations can connect with. On the arms are written the dates in which Germany have won the World Cup and the dates that they have won the European Championship.

For the first time, the iconic adidas stripes are not on the arms, but on the side of the strips. There is a black, red and gold detailing on the seam.

Captain Bastian Schweinsteiger: “The kit breeds success”

“The kit breeds success and the classic colours go perfectly together,” said Schweinsteiger. National team sporting director Oliver Bierhoff said “The design of the new kit is elegant, classic and clear. The strip reflects what Die Mannschaft want to show in the EUROs: to strive, to be direct and to be efficient.”

The strip will be showcased on the pitch for the first time on Friday in the friendly against France, who will host the European Championship.
